Some 'broken' appliances are one simple check away from working again. Run through this guide first — everything here is safe and tool-free — and if your appliance is still misbehaving afterwards, you will be able to describe the problem like a technician, which speeds up the real repair.
Confirm the temperature settings (37-38°F fridge, 0°F freezer). Check nothing is blocking the inside vents. Listen: fan running? compressor humming? Look for frost on the freezer back wall. Vacuum the coils if they are matted. If it is still warm after two hours, call — cooling faults do not heal themselves.
Washer: clean the pump filter, check supply valves are open, confirm the drain hose is not kinked, and make sure the load is balanced. Dryer: clean the lint filter, check the outside vent hood opens during a run, and for electric models check both dryer breakers — one tripped side means tumbling without heat.
Dishwasher: clean the filter, clear the spray arm holes, run the disposal to clear the shared drain, and verify the water valve under the sink is open. Oven: check for demo/Sabbath/timer modes, look at electric elements for visible damage, and on gas models note whether preheat times have been creeping up — the igniter's early warning.
Power: is the outlet live (test with a phone charger on non-GFCI circuits) and the breaker untripped? Controls: is child lock on? Doors: do they close and latch fully? These three questions solve a humbling number of service calls — and we would rather you solved it free than paid us to find a tripped breaker.

Call in the morning and we do our best to fix your appliance the same day. Fridge and washer problems get first priority because they cannot wait.
We check the appliance first, tell you the full price, and only start the repair when you say yes. No surprises at the end.
Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, GE, Maytag, Frigidaire, KitchenAid, Bosch and more. One call covers every appliance in your home.
Our Houston technicians carry the right tools and common parts on the van, so most repairs finish in a single visit.
Every repair is backed by our workmanship warranty. If the same problem comes back in the warranty period, we come back and make it right.
The quote we give you is the price you pay. We explain what failed, why it failed, and how to avoid it next time.
Only the outside: power, door latch, turntable and settings. Never open a microwave cabinet — the capacitor inside can hold a dangerous charge even unplugged. Internal microwave faults are technician-only.
Brand, model if you can find the plate, the appliance's age, exactly what it does or does not do, and any error code on the display. That is everything a technician needs to arrive prepared.
If we attend, you get a full diagnosis and a flat quote before any repair — and if the 'repair' is genuinely a two-minute adjustment, we will treat it fairly. Honesty is the whole business model.
Always. The technician first diagnoses the problem, then gives you one flat quote. We only start the repair after you approve the price, and the quote does not change at the end.
Call now and talk to a real person. Same-day slots in Houston fill up fast, especially for fridge and washer problems.
