Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer same-day appliance repair in Houston?

Yes. If you call early in the day, we do our best to reach you the same day, and refrigerator and washer problems get first priority. Same-day slots depend on the day's schedule, so calling early gives you the best chance.

Which brands do you repair?

We repair Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, GE, Maytag, Frigidaire, KitchenAid, Bosch, Electrolux, Sub-Zero and most other major brands, including French-door fridges, front-load washers and smart appliances.

Do you give the price before starting the repair?

Always. The technician first diagnoses the problem, then gives you one flat quote. We only start the repair after you approve the price, and the quote does not change at the end.

Are your repairs covered by a warranty?

Yes, every repair is backed by our workmanship warranty. If the same problem returns during the warranty period, we come back and make it right.

Which areas of Houston do you cover?

We cover Houston and the surrounding areas including Katy, Sugar Land, The Woodlands, Pearland, Cypress, Spring, Pasadena, Kingwood, League City, Missouri City, Richmond and more. See our service areas page for the full list.

Is it worth repairing a refrigerator or should I buy new?

If the fridge is under 10-12 years old and the compressor is healthy, a repair is usually the smart money. If the sealed system has failed on an older unit, we will tell you honestly when replacement makes more sense.

Why does my washer smell bad?

Front-load washers trap moisture in the door gasket, and Houston humidity makes mould grow fast. A deep clean of the gasket and drain filter plus a hot empty cycle with cleaner usually fixes it. If the smell is from a failing drain pump, we will show you.

Why is my dryer not heating?

On electric dryers it is usually the heating element, a thermal fuse or a thermostat. On gas dryers it is often the igniter or valve coils. A fully blocked vent can cause all of these to fail, so we always check airflow too.

Why is there water in the bottom of my dishwasher?

A small amount under the filter is normal, but standing water above it means a drain problem — a clogged filter, blocked drain hose, failed drain pump or a disposal knockout plug that was never removed. We trace the whole path.

Why does my gas oven take so long to preheat?

Almost always a weak igniter. It still glows, but it no longer draws enough current to open the gas valve quickly. Replacing the igniter restores normal preheat times.

Why does my Samsung fridge ice maker keep freezing up?

The ice room on Samsung French-door models is a known weak spot — air leaks and a failing ice room fan let frost build until it jams. We defrost it fully, seal the gaps, replace failed parts and verify a full harvest cycle.

What does Bosch dishwasher error E24 mean?

E24 is a drain error — the machine cannot empty. It ranges from a blocked filter or kinked hose to a failing drain pump or a cover plate left in the sump. We work through the Bosch-specific checklist.

Why is my freezer cold but the fridge warm?

One system cools both sections, and a fan pushes cold air into the fridge. A dead fan, iced-up coils or a blocked damper starves the fridge while the freezer stays cold. It is the single most common pattern we see.

Why did my thermal fuse blow?

Because the dryer overheated — almost always from restricted venting. The fuse is doing its safety job. We replace it only after the airflow problem is fixed.

Will you tell me if my appliance is not worth repairing?

Yes — plainly, and before you pay for the repair. It costs us nothing to be honest, and it is why Houston customers call us back for the next appliance.
